E.SUN FHC and National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences held the nursing talent cultivation scholarship donation ceremony on June 17, in order to cultivate professional nursing talent and protect public health. E.SUN donated NT$1 million to set up a scholarship for impoverished and underprivileged students. Furthermore, E.SUN Volunteer & Social Welfare Foundation also established the "E.SUN Nursing Talent Cultivation Scholarship" this year, encouraging students in the nursing department to focus on their studies and seek employment as a nurse after graduation, so that they will become professional nurses with a passion to serve others.

Joseph N.C. Huang, chairman of E.SUN Bank, said that talent is a key indicator and a leading indicator. Following the arrival of an aging society, demand on medical care and caretaking will gradually increase. In this epidemic prevention process, we can see a group of medical personnel silently contributing on the front line to protect people's health. E.SUN is grateful for the efforts exerted by medical personnel, and also hopes to work together with academic units in cultivating nursing talent needed by society, thereby increasing Taiwan's healthcare capabilities.

Hsieh Nan-Chen, President of National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences, thanked E.SUN FHC for the donation as it will help the university with its impoverished and underprivileged students assistance plan. He hopes that the plan will replace part time work with study, allowing impoverished and underprivileged students to take care of their studies and life. The plan will subsidize nearly 350 students each year, so that they can focus on their studies. The university is also cultivating nursing and long-term care talent in coordination with the government's healthcare policy in response to aging society. Over a thousand students enter the healthcare system to provide service every year.

E.SUN FHC and E.SUN Volunteer & Social Welfare Foundation have fulfilled their CSR over the years, and established the E.SUN Outstanding Talent Scholarship, E.SUN ASEAN Talent Cultivation Scholarship, and E.SUN Nursing Talent Cultivation Scholarship, encouraging students to continue strengthening their professional abilities and develop the right values, so that they have outstanding performance in each field and exert greater influence. E.SUN works together with partners that have the same ideals, in giving back to society, including: blood donation event co-organized by six associations, free clinic overseas and in rural areas, installing dental chairs in elementary schools in rural areas, and participating in the house call dentist project. In the future, we will join forces with different sectors and continue to fulfill our CSR.
