Facing the challenges brought by climate change, E.SUN FHC takes actual action in response to the UN's SDG13 Climate Action. With regard to the issue of environmental sustainability, we worked together with the Forestry Bureau in implementing the E.SUN Tree Planting Project during tree planting month for the second consecutive year. President Joseph N.C. Huang called together E.SUN volunteer representatives to participate in the event, hoping that everyone will understand the meaning of planting native trees that are suitable for the local environment as they plant saplings by themselves. Besides enriching local biodiversity, the trees will also lower carbon dioxide concentrate, mitigate global warming, and contribute to environmental sustainability.

Joseph N.C. Huang, President of E.SUN FHC, said that E.SUN has dedicated to environmental sustainability and ecological conservation for many years because we cares about the land. The E.SUN Business card is combined with environmental and charity appeals, and E.SUN will continue to implement the E.SUN Tree Planting Project. Tree planting is recognized as the most effective way for carbon reduction and climate change mitigation, and also concerns biodiversity in the forest. So far there have been 30,000 trees planted under the project, which will absorb and store about 360 tons of carbon each year, equal to reducing carbon emissions from 50 million sheets of paper. We also invited cardholders of E.SUN Business Card to respond to energy conservation and carbon reduction. After applying for electronic statements, 0.2% of the amount of each transaction is donated to the project.

Lin Hao-Chen, Deputy Director-General of the Forestry Bureau, thanked E.SUN for its investment in sustainable development. and for letting the public understand the benefits of tree planting through promotions. This year we adopted state-owned forest land in Taipei City's Beitou District and Wenshan Compartment, as well as the coastal forest in New Taipei City's Shimen District with a total area of 6.03 hectares. Over 10,050 saplings of native tree species, including Fraxinus griffithii, Quercus glauca, Machilus thunbergii, Liquidambar formosana, Scaevola taccada, Casuarina equisetifolia, and Cerbera manghas. The movement is expected to motivate non-government organizations and companies to participate in the adoption of urban forests and tree protection actions, and linked together the lifeline of ecological corridors for the sustainable development of the ecological environment.

E.SUN FHC takes actual action towards environmental sustainability, including responding to World Cleanup Day for 10 consecutive years, organizing environmental protection cleaning events, and responding to Earth Hour. In addition, we are actively aligning our financial business with the international trend of sustainable development by issuing zero-carbon credit cards, implementing the EPs, issuing green bonds, signing the TCFD of the G20, and implementing the 17 SGDs. We hope that everyone will participate in energy conservation and carbon reduction, and jointly protect our beautiful homeland.
