Sustainability Index (DJSI) for 6
consecutive years, setting a new

E.SUN FHC once again stood out from the over 3,500 enterprise candidates worldwide for its excellent performance in the 2019 DJSI announced on Sep. 14th. E.SUN FHC has been selected as a constituent stock of the DJSI Emerging Markets Index for six consecutive years and the DJSI World Index for four times. It also set a new record in Taiwan's financial industry after being ranked 3rd in the world and 1st in the Asia-Pacific in Banks Industry Group.


A collaboration between S&P Dow Jones Indices and RobecoSAM, DJSI aims at tracking leading international corporations that support sustainable development. DJSI inspires these corporations to focus on sustainable development issues in their business operations while taking into account long-term risk management. DJSI is a crucial referential indicator for global investors engaging in sustainable investment. Sustainable finance was the emphasis this year, and the extent that responsible lending and investment were implemented in each business was also reviewed. Furthermore, personal information and privacy protection was also added to encourage financial institutions to actively align with international standards for protecting customer rights and interests. Of the over 3,500 public companies worldwide that were invited to participate in the evaluation, a total of 15 Taiwanese companies were selected into the DJSI World Index.


Only 25 banks in the Banks Industry Group were selected into the World Index this year. E.SUN FHC has achieved significantly better performance in ESG-related issues, including ethical corporate management, risk management, AML, privacy protection, sustainable finance, inclusive finance, talent cultivation, and social welfare, compared with competitors. E.SUN also set a record in Taiwan's financial industry after being ranked in the Banks Industry Group as 3rd in the world and 1st in the Asia Pacific.
