Global Finance, a prestigious American financial magazine, announced in March its list of best banks in the world. E.SUN was rated as the Best Bank in Taiwan by Global Finance in 2016, a testament to its outstanding performance in profit growth, overseas development, and digital innovation. This is E.SUN's fourth Best Bank Award in 2016 following accolades given by international finance magazines the Banker, the Asset, and Asiamoney.
Global Finance indicated that E.SUN has demonstrated substantial growth in terms of market scale and profit, and has become a distinguished bank in the region due to its efforts in overseas expansion. E.SUN is also an innovative leader in fintech and digital banking developments, and is able to provide customers with highly convenient financial services. The panel of judges therefore unanimously agreed to bestow the Best Bank award upon E.SUN Commercial Bank after conducting a series of evaluations of its performance from all aspects and consulting the opinions of analysts, advisers, and readers.
E.SUN Commercial Bank also excelled in sustainable development, obtaining an increase in MSCI ESG rating from BBB to A. This is also the highest rating ever obtained by a financial institution in Taiwan. The MSCI ESG report revealed that E.SUN improved significantly in the aspects of environmental performance and social contribution. E.SUN not only continued to refine its lending service based on the principles of environmental sustainability, but also fully supported the development of SMEs in Taiwan.
